About Christine
Christine Sheldon is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has completed Level 1 & 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She also has training and experience in Sex Therapy. Christine’s pronouns are she/her/hers. She specializes in treating individuals struggling with eating disorders and their impacted families, anxiety, and conflict. Christine is trauma informed and uses Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work. She works to externalize the problem and create a united front of support and honesty. She operates as a transparent therapist utilizing assertive communication to facilitate openness and understanding. She treats families, couples and individuals.
Christine completed her bachelor’s degree with a focus in Counseling Psychology at Mesa State College, and then completed her master’s degree at Colorado State University Denver in Couples and Family Counseling. Since, she has worked with individuals, couples, and families of first-time offenders, addiction, domestic violence, and individuals with eating disorders.
Christine accepts each client regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, race, disability, religion, and socioeconomic status.

Individuals
Individual therapy is a joint process. Common goals of therapy may be to inspire change or improve quality of life. Some issues are hard to face alone. Don’t worry, there’s help.
Couples
Couples therapy is designed to help recognize and resolve conflicts, improve communication, rebuild and increase connection.
Families
Family therapy dives into familial systems and interrogates the structures preventing change.

Sheldon Family Counseling does not accept insurance, however, invoices and superbills will be provided to you to be submitted to your health insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement to you. Many insurance companies will require a diagnosis.
All major credit cards, health savings accounts, and flex spending accounts are accepted.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
